Comment: It’s an intimate setting if you’re placed at a good table. We had a date and were seated right next to the staff register. The workers were having a lot of conversations that were loud so we had to talk over them so we could hear each other. Our appetizer was burnt on the bottom. The sushi was good as was our server.

Comment: This place is a vibe. Trendy, but not overly so to make anyone feel out of place. And the food backs it up. We had 3 rolls, all were fresh & delicious. The lobster roll was to die for, granted it wasnt a large portion, but our waiter set our expectations when we ordered it. Now my favorite part: the royal mojito. Its surprisingly hard to find a good mojito; they should be tart, but not bitter nor too sweet. This one was perfection. We will be back.

Comment: I dropped by Drunken Fish to grab some lunch with my wife while walking around the neighborhood, and it was pretty good. The presentation of the dishes was what you would expect from a sushi restaurant in the Central West End, and the prices follow suit. Not overly expensive, but some of the more basic rolls are a little pricey for what you get. That being said, I wouldn’t go to Drunken Fish for cheap sushi, I would go for nicer more unique rolls and dishes. The service was really nice, and the ambiance was casual but classy. I’ll be happy to come back by for dinner some time.

Comment: I came here with my fiance on a Sunday evening about 2 hours before closing. We didnt have a reservation so the hostess quoted us about a 40 min wait. Upon requesting to sit at the bar, she confirmed with the bar, and promptly lead us upstairs to the bar.After wiping down the bar table, she sat us down. We were greeted warmly by the bartender. We ordered the sushi combo and contemplated on sake. The bartender gave us samples of sake, which were all delicious. The sushi was fresh and delicious and service was spectacular.I would definitely come back here again. Its a bit pricey, but I think well worth it.

Comment: This was my first time at the restaurant and it was a pickup order. The host was very polite and accommodating. While I was waiting for the order he treated me to a soda. The atmosphere felt quiet and relaxed. The order was for three of us. The sushi and pot stickers were good, however, the chicken and shrimp fried rice was somewhat bland. I added some soy sauce, which helped, but it still needed something. Overall I liked the restaurant and would certainly return.

Comment: Food was decent enough. The menu should definitely be expanded. Service wasnt great however. We waited for our waitress to come over initially and take our drink orders. When she finally did there was another delay. She finally came with the drinks and spilled one of the drinks on my other patrons Gucci bags(2x) she half hearted acknowledged it and never even tried to wipe off the bags. It continues with her messing up one of the appetizer orders and then having to bring out the correct order after we already ate. The manager was apologetic and comped the app but overall it was a disaster.

Comment: This is by far one of the best meals I’ve had in awhile! We stopped to celebrate our anniversary and Anthony took great care of us and made some awesome recommendations! The sushi was amazing and the chicken fried rice was equally amazing. We had the drunken fish roll and the starburst roll and for dessert we ate the strawberry cheesecake makimono. Comment: All five stars go out to Richard!As a restaurant industry worker, I had heard about guests ordering everything themselves at the table. I was excited to try it but soon realized this new way of using Toast was a swing and a miss for me. The food was decent but I soon realized I was so busy trying to order another round of drinks for the table or split checks that I was not fully able to enjoy the meal. I also felt that it lacked human interaction. For me, I love being able to go out and get to know our server. The food runners in this case were not very personable and I felt as if I were the server. It might be fun for those who are not use to using the Toast POS but it left me feeling weird about who’s receiving my tip and whether I should tip out the food runners when I took the orders.The standout of this meal hands down was RICHARD, the busser! I have never left a review anywhere and have felt the need to applaud this man almost four days later. Even though the whole table felt this meal lacked human interaction, Richard made up for it all!! We all went home talking about him and how he made our week and made the experience. This man deserves a raise!!! His continuous friendly smile and positive attitude when working made us naturally spark conversation with him. A natural to the service industry! I have never seen someone enjoy their job more than this man. I can only hope he is being compensated for his work because we were speechless with how he went way beyond his job description. We can’t wait to come back and see Richard, hold on tight to him.

The ordering process - you scan the menu and it brings you to the ordering screen where you place your orders for drinks, food, etc. Ordering is easy, you can cash out or leave your tab open to order more.Food was very good, we got vegan options and spring rolls and it was very tasty and flavorful. Very good!The only reason I hesitate on 5 stars is because the place needs a makeover and the wait staff only came to check on us when we were about to head out for refills.

The food and the atmosphere was so beautiful that I had to visit again Sunday! So Quick seating outside since the weather was beautiful!! Ordering food was actually easier & my opinion better online. After we were seated, our hostess explained how ordering works, where you use your phone to add items and separate checks (one phone = one check). You also have the option to add more items throughout your meal. She answered all of our questions and was very helpful. Our waitress was also very helpful and made sure we had full waters the whole time. Im definitely going back next time Im in town!

The supervisor is rude and clearly didn’t want to give out her name for a reason and this is why WESPORT is the location I go to for this exact reason. We especially enjoyed the lobster spring rolls- delicious!We chose to dine in although we had originally called for a patio reservation, there were no problems or any wait. They took great care of social distancing protocols, sanitization, etc. our temperatures were checked upon entering. Everything was digital, we ordered and paid through their app/website to avoid contact and the food was brought to our table without close interaction. There was some issue with the mochi not being throughly frozen, as we had paid upon ordering they kindly offered us the choice to refund the dessert or trade it out for something else- we stuck with our original order, but the manner in which things were handles was very professional.We will definitely be returning!

You have to scan a QR code and scroll through 4 or 5 different menus to see everything. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. The only think is they forgot to make my moms entree. Comment: Happy Hour starts at 2:26 and its well worth it especially if you want to try something new. Limited menu but EVERYTHING is good. The shrimp poppers are my best friend. And the bar tender made my drink perfectly (and Im picky). This is my new go to spot when I just want to be a little boogie during lunch.

Comment: The sushi was delicious, the service exceptional. The only reason it gets 4 stars is the building is in need of update. The restroom on first floor was unisex but only one of them. This can cause issues lol. The interior is dark so looking closely the decor is not as elegant as you would expect from an upscale dining location.

Comment: We were here to celebrate my friends 30th birthday. Nice bar area, where the bartender got us all The Japanese Sake bomb. That was a whole new amazing experience for us. Food was great too. But their staff were not very friendly. A few of our friends were running late, so we wanted to wait for them. Not sure what was going on that day, but the staff were not happy with that, even after we reserved our table for a few hours. They kept asking us to order the food ASAP. The place wasnt busy either.

We left the restaurant and we had leftovers which we forgot and the temperature is low 30s as we are walking to our car here comes Jeremy running towards and asking we still wanted the leftovers! Omg talk about great customer service!

Comment: Took my hubs here for a day date as our first trip and had a wonderful experience! Used a Groupon voucher that they gladly honored. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. Our only complaint would be no one explained the rolls when they were brought to the table, which we figured it out and wasnt a big problem. All in all very happy and will go back.

Comment: We tried a variety of rolls. Great presentation, good quantity/quality, but we wished the flavors were a little more balanced. Two pieces from the same roll can have totally different flavors, based on which ever ingredient was most representative in that slice. This could be considered a feature instead of a bug, I suppose.

Comment: Excellent customer service! The food was great. Mike, our waiter, went over beyond what was expected of him. We celebrated our daughters birthday and presented us with a fried green tea ice cream. The manager, Shawn, even asked how was our experience. Amazing!

Shawn the manager and the whole staff were so friendly. If you are in the central west end of St. Louis really need to eat here.

Comment: Very good restaurant for a different take on the sushi segment.The atmosphere left something to be desired, as did our server. It may have been later in the evening on a Thursday, but the place still had plenty of guests, and time & day is no excuse. Personally, this falls on the management, as the staff take their direction from them. High standards, especially at this price point, should be the goal.The sushi roll choices can be overwhelming, more so if your server doesnt explain them well, and there are no pictures to go by either. If you are not feeling adventurous, stick to the traditional offerings, and you will be fine. The more exotic flavor combination rolls can be outstanding. All in all, a solid C (A-F). Will give it another chance, but unless this was an aberration, there are better options.

Comment: This location is great at remembering faces. There are 3 servers that know my face and say hello even if they do not service my table. That means a lot to a customer. I do not go on a regular basis, maybe 3 times within 6 months. They keep the same servers for quite some time which says a lot about a business. I have never had to send my food back which is A+ in my book.

Comment: I stopped by for lunch and got the lunch special with the white tiger roll. The service was very friendly and did a good job informing me about the lunch special and explaining which rolls I could choose from. The sushi was decent and the salad was okay but I would change the appearance of the salad dressing if possible as it kind of looks like a cat just puked on the salad.... but it tasted fine lol so I guess it works. As far as the atmosphere I guess it was okay I’d just change the music. I normally hear Japanese music at sushi places.

Comment: The host was super weird and put off a very uncomfortable vibe, but once we got past him and to our table we absolutely loved the atmosphere. Our waitress was also the upstairs bartender and she handled a crowded area and many customers with poise and ease. First time actually eating sushi and I will be back! We really enjoyed our meal!But seriously that host was creepy (coming from a group of both men and women).

Comment: Ordered hot Sake and the Chilean Sea bass. I loved the Sake experience and the Sea bass was perfectly cooked. Staffs were courteous and the wait wasnt much to get a table or for the food to arrive. Although I find the place to be a bit on the expensive side, I might visit it again for more Sake.

Comment: I have been here multiple times and the food is always great. The service is not always the best, but it could be much worse. This is one of the first places I tried sushi in the Midwest, and definitely recommend it. The White Tiger roll is my favorite. There are many neat bars and restaurants, coffee shops, and a movie theater within walking distance, so make a night out of it.

Comment: Happy hour is reasonably priced for the quality of the food. I had the White Tiger Roll (in the back of my picture) and the Spicy Calamari roll (front of my pic). The White Tiger Roll was phenomenal, the Spice Calamari was good, but not great. Service was top notch. Everyone made me feel very welcome. I will definitely return next time Im in St. Louis.

Comment: My friends and I go to drunken fish fairly often. Their sushi is always delicious and the noodle bowls are also tasty. However, their service was a little bit on the slow side even though we went at an off-time on Saturday (around 3pm). Our server was friendly, even slipping his phone number to my roommate!

Comment: My girlfriend and I came for dinner and the interior is excellent. Jeremy is a great server, he was attentive, and he was familiar with the menu. The music is not the greatest though, it stands out like a sore thumb. Its mainstream, like it came from a tween clothing store, which could fit the theme, (Japanese music). I gave it four stars because of the music.

Comment: Whatever you look for in a restaurant, Drunken Fish probably has it. It occupies two floors of prime real estate in the CWE. It has excellent happy hour deals. The food is good, the drinks are fun, the service is great and the atmosphere is sleek.Scarce parking, pricey dinner plates and signature drinks are holding back the final star, but those minor details arent enough to keep me from going back again and again.

They make sure that you are recognized and taken care of. 2) the food is consistently good and plentiful. If you want a good and plenty luncheon restaurant, go to one of my favorites! Comment: I absolutely loved this place! The sushi there is so fresh, I had the salmon sashimi and the Spiderman Roll. My husband had the Kamikaze Roll which was recommended to us by our server, Sean, because my husband couldnt decide between white tuna and red tuna and that roll had both. Sean was GREAT! He gave us this business card at the beginning and was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable with the menu. The environment was fantastic, especially for date night. Will definitely be going back!

Comment: This is a high-priced fancy modern sushi restaurant. Both the sushi and noodle bowls are very good. I am not exactly a sushi expert, so luckily our waiter was very knowledgeable and made some very good recommendations. I do not like sake, but they have a large selection of that.
