Comment: We arrived at the height of lunch. Definitely a popular choice for people! We sat at the high top in front of the sushi station although there were several open tables. We just find it fun to watch the hustle and bustle. Our waitress was the only waitress working the dining area and she was very efficient and had a great vibe! She seemed to thrive on the busy-ness and was cheery and seemed legitimately happy! I chose the Mr Miyagi special roll and my daughter a bowl of spicy ramen. Both of us loved our choices. Next time we are in the area we will return to Midtown Sushi & Ramen.

Comment: We went here for lunch and it was really great. We were looking for something that was filling and had different options. The staff was very nice and pleasant. I think the only thing that could have been better was that they could have made a ramen much more spicy. Other than that they had great options to choose from in terms of ramen as well as sushi. Would definitely recommend for a Friday afternoon lunch.

Comment: I visited St. Louis for the weekend and decided to check out this ramen spot and it was pretty decent. I did an order of sushi with my ramen and everything tasted fresh and yummy.I didn’t love the environment because it felt of like all the seats and tables were so open and you were sitting so close to the people around you. I mostly don’t like this because I get overstimulated easily.Other than that, ramen was good for the cost of it. It’s probably not my number 1 favorite spot though.

Comment: The Crouching Tiger Roll maki was one of the best I’d ever had. The rice was perfectly done and fish is yummy. Crab rangoon can be better so is the spicy chicken karaage (+$3 for the spice). Spicy Midtown ramen hits the mark, really spicy. I would come back here again.

Comment: We ordered the Hakata and Midtown Spicy ramen. My partner who regularly eats spice thought that the Midtown ramen was spicy, so probably tread with caution unless it was just today that we came in and it was very spicy. It was kind of funny that it only came with one shrimp that was boiled separately. I ordered extra spicy sauce on the side expecting chili oil and it was a very thick paste that did not dissolve well into my ramen so wouldn’t do that again. There was one server for all the tables but she was ontop of it the best she could even though we sat there waiting for a bit. The place was clean with an OK temperature for such a humid day in STL.

There isnt a weak point on the menu; Ive tried several ramens, rolls, appetizers, and other dishes, and everything has been delicious. Comment: Authentic!!! Best ramen Ive tried in STL. I love that they offer add ons. The menu is flexible. The gyoza could be a little better. Theyre kind of bland. Atmosphere is ok. Clean and good service. They have a great sake selection! I ordered the chicken teriyaki once, and it wasnt very good. My fiance ordered the chicken korage, and he said it was terrible. On another visit, we noticed someone from another table order the chicken korage, and they didnt touch it. Stick to the sushi and the ramen. Superb!

Comment: This was the first time I dined here. We celebrated a late Mothers Day dinner since our son was out of the country. The food was very delicious and not fishy as I first thought it would be. The server was great, very professional, and courteous. We had the salmon avocado roll, Naruto roll, spider roll, and the Yoshi roll. All fantastic and very filling. The only issue I had was remembering how to use chopsticks correctly. A little out of practice. We had a party of 6 that night and just to let you know they automatically add 18% for a party of six. It was fair and you might want to go above the recommendation. It is worth it.

Midtown Sushi & Ramen is a must try for anyone who loves authentic ramen dishes or good sushi, and while it’s not in the name, the Donburi bowls are some of the best in town.I recommend the Hakata Ramen if you’re a fan of smoked meats! The pork belly really adds great smoky and fatty notes to the noodles.If pork isn’t your thing then the Spicy Midtown Ramen gives you the same base as the Hakata, but swaps the pork with shrimp and smoky flavor with a spicy broth!Which one is better is a toss up and is just one more reason to come back for a second visit.

The ramen is delicious and filling. The broth, meat, and eggs are the best Ive had at any ramen place. They do offer forks, but I would recommend chopsticks. The sushi and sashimi were also great. The atmosphere isnt anything special, but its good overall. Definitely a good place to stop if you plan on going to Costco and you need a meal to fill you up!

This is truly the best ramen I’ve had! Absolutely savory, noodle-y, meaty, and the perfect comforting dish for an autumn evening. And those jammy eggs were one of the tastiest things I have eaten… the flavor and texture was impeccable. My party and I also enjoyed the crab Rangoon for starters.The only downside would be that, as the dining area got busier, it became really difficult to get service to ask for anything or pay out the bill. We almost felt like we were forgotten for a hot minute, everyone was running around and if they say anything to you, it was in passing while they were running somewhere. We finally received our bill and paid. Over all in spite of the poor crowd management, this was an over-the-top experience as far as the food goes. Would definitely re-visit in the future.

Their Specialty Midtown roll is also incredible and probably something I get every time I visit here. I have tried many of their sushi rolls and none of them disappointed me. Some of the appetizers are also a must get for me such as the pork gyoza and the spicy chicken karage. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for some quality Japanese cuisine.

Comment: If you love sushi as much as I do you’ll make it back to Midtown Sushi. There’s a decent amount of good spots in the 314 but this is my personal favorite. I usually recommend a specific order but you should try something new here every time you go. If I did give you advice I’d say try a few apps Ie gyoza, sushi, miso soup, several pieces of Nigiri AND the plum sake to compliment any dish. Also, if you’re in to fried sushi, they have perfectly breaded/flakes rolls that are not too heavy like you would see at most places (not a gut bomb)! Great food, great service, perfect spot to bring friends and family and sort of unassuming from the outside but really fun atmosphere inside.

My wife is Japanese and I lived there for 4 years, so I know a tiny bit about the authenticity of Japanese food and how it should taste and hands down this is the best Raman in St. Louis. It reminded us of Japan. Even the shrimp tempura was on point. The waitress was incredibly nice and had a lot of information about other places in the city to visit. We have already been back and will continue to go back. It is our favorite Japanese restaurant right now.

The best ramen Ive ever had. We tried the Takoyaki which was great! Definitely give it a try, especially if youve never had octopus before. We had the Chicken Kaarage. It was ok, definitely felt like it needed some sauce to accompany it. Last but not least was a Mr. Miyagi roll. Everything we ordered was amazing, but those two and the fall apart in your mouth pork belly in the Ramen were on another level. The restaurant itself is cozy but the spacing of the tables and the high ceiling gives you a secluded feel. Dress code is casual but the food is upscale, which is my favorite combo.Whole family friendly. Perfect crunch on the outside and a beautiful pink, moist center. I cant remember the specific type of sushi I got. It was a specialty roll. It was the Kneeling Tiger or something along those lines. Regardless, it was fantastic as well. My only complaint is that the place is quite small for as popular as it is. If you dont get there as they open, you may have to wait a while for a table. Also, the tables are rather small. To be fair, I and the person I was there with are bigger people. Other than the size issues, everything else was absolutely perfect from the amazing food to the charismatic server. I will definitely be back in the near future!

I tried both the pork ramen and the seafood ramen and they were both distinct and delicious! The soup base was savory, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the meat and veggies were both soft. I feel like a lot of other places have 1 or 2 of the 3 main parts (broth, noodles, meat and/or veggies) done well but not all three. The serving size is plenty. I had leftovers and the waitress boxed my noodles separate from my broth so that the noodles dont get soggy. I was so grateful! Most places wont do that for you. Additionally the service is fast and the waitress was nice. Seating is comfortable. The bathroom is clean. The ambiance is casual but you could definitely go here for a more casual date too. Parking is easy because theres a lot just around the corner. Theres paid street parking right outside the front door, but just go to the free lot. I will definitely be visiting this place again.

Comment: Exclusive ramen place. Excellent broth!!! Ordered plain ramen (noodles, broth, egg) and added a few different ingredients. Noodles are soft. Broth is pork and chicken based, amazing!! Sushi we ordered was shrimp tempura, even mother liked it (who doesnt like sushi)... This one is cooked. Anytime we are in St. Louis we make it here. Parking is easy, $2 max at meters or parking lot near back. Clean restrooms.

Comment: Amazing, authentic Ramen with a super friendly and upbeat staff. Good prices and lots of food. I ordered the spicy ramen, which was incredibly spicy. Although the server I had said that the heat depends on the chef of the day. So beware! Your food might be super hot or it could be fairly mild. Either way, its delicious.

Comment: Ramen was good but not fantástico. I hated the edamane and the seasoned egg was not very flavorful. I was hoping to be punched in the face by flavorful madness but recieved a lukewarm reception instead. The kimchi was also very spicy and didnt have any other flavors to it, just spicy. The overall presentación was very Beautiful and the place appeared to be clean

Comment: I absolutely love this place. Sushi is fresh and you cannot beat their happy hour prices. We come here 2-3x a month and can order 5 rolls for $25-30 dollars. Ramen is also delicious and waiters are friendly and great with kids. Best sushi place in STL!

Comment: This place is great! Awesome atmosphere and excellent West coast inspired Ramen. I had the Kimchi Ramen. It was the perfect blend of spice and flavor. Highly recommend!
