Comment: Came 30 minutes before closing and it was a cold night. Looked forward to a hot green tea. Waitress said that they were already getting for close so no green tea. Food was amazing and waitress was excellent. When she saw my disappointment about the green tea she gave me a bowl of hot miso soup for free. Thats great service.

Ive never seen this, yet alone for $15! The table next to me is totally nerding out in a conversation on video games, anime, flat earth theory and zombies. Its comical to hear them really get in it!

Its not the highest grade, fanciest, bougie sushi experience available, but its the best value and extremely consistent quality.This is the closest well probably get in the US to having the friendly neighborhood sushi bar to get an impromptu lunch or dinner at. Comment: I used to frequent this location especially often but it had been a while until yesterday evening with a friend from my childhood. It is still fantastic! Lovely and cozy, quiet and charming, and the food is fantastic as always was before too! On top of that, I was exceptionally pleased with our server as he was attentive but not annoyingly so, very friendly, and just all in all fantastic at his job. I believe his name is Chris, but cannot be sure. Very respectful but with a proper balance of ease that made interacting not tense nor too informal.All in all, I hope I’ll be able to return again soon! I have fond memories of eating their often years ago and it’s clearly still a great place to do so!

Glad that we made this place as our backup plan.The waitress for our table was very friendly, helpful and patient when we took time to decide what to order as one of us was a vegan. The food arrived fast and in a good portion. Two of us ordered the dine-in deal for $22 each person. I had Spider roll, Rock n Roll, 4 suishi, and one pot sticker as appetizer. Gosh, my friend and I ended up bringing home our leftover for lunch tomorrow (I could not finish my 8-piece Crazy Spicy roll and Rock n Roll)! My another friend ordered separately two suishi rolls (STL rolls and Californian roll) instead and was also satisfied with her choice.I noticed the two chefs were working hard but would still greet the customers on their way out and that said something. We all agreed that wed back to this place again.Second visit in 2022: Prices have gone up for special combo deal a year later and the sushi sizes on my plate were obvious smaller and shorter ... Is sushi rice getting more expensive??

Comment: My husband and I worked a brutal manual labor job last weekend, and came in afterwards very hungry. He enjoyed all of his meal which was Teriyaki chicken, rice, crab Rangoon and a salad. I got Miso soup, honey roll, the special spicy crab roll and the california roll. best sushi I’ve ever had. The presentation of the sushi was gorgeous. I could’ve eaten a whole bucket of the miso soup. Our food didn’t take long, it was fresh and delicious. Our server was amazing! He was so polite and good at his job. We will be back!

It’s a good place to have a fun chat with your friend and have quality food and not think much about the price range since they’re quite reasonable. Their service however, was okay. Comment: One of the few restaurants weve been to lately where staff are still wearing masks and they are seating at reduced capacity, so be prepared there may be a wait. They take your number though so at least you can leave and go to one of the other shops or walk around. Once seated staff were very attentive with drink refills and the food came out fast. We were in and out in about 30 minutes. Sushi is good and we got the all you can eat option so also got a sampling of appetizers.

If you are going to visit I would recommend trying their fried rice, they do an amazing job of blending together flavors without adding ingredients that make it unhealthy. Also their staff is extremely polite and work with integrity. Enjoy!!!

Comment: An enjoyable spot that scratches that itch one feels when it has been far too long between sushi meals. While the quality isnt particularly high, they compensate for it fairly well by getting the rolls in front of you faster than your typical sushi restaurant, making this a fair option for lunch. Ive always had good experiences with the staff and would recommend this as a lunch destination.

Gyoza and Crab rangoon are awesome, sit down and order 2 of each almost immediately while I decide on the rest. Lunch prices are decent like $12, however dinner is like $20. Comment: I am no sushi connoisseur but this place has great sushi for the price. All you can eat for one price and that includes appetizers and soup. I work close and can go there on my lunch time without rushing, but you have to show up for lunch close to 11 before it really picks up. Once it does get busy, you might have trouble making it through on time. If you are in the busy time, order everything you want on the first order to avoid a second wait. Ive taken my wife there for dinner as well and I was just as happy. The inside of the building is somewhat small and not an impressive atmoshpere, but it works well enough. Favorite rolls are Spicy Crab, Shrimp Temura and St. Louis (fried roll). They also have very tasty tempura vegetables (sweet potato and zuchini).

The service has always been very friendly and professional but the speed leaves a lot to be desired. I recommend ordering big when you do a buffet. It could be 15-20 min before you get served again.

Comment: Love Love LOVE SUSHI AI! I have been going here ever since it opened. They have the best Miso Soup! All their sushi is FRESH, and good quality. They are reasonably priced, all you can eat, 17.99 for all you can eat sushi and appetizers and salads and soup is great, I think lunch is 12.99? But still A LOT CHEAPER than any other sushi place. You pay that much for two rolls at the drunken fish! The waiters and sushi guys are always so friendly as well. Will continue going here for as long as theyre around.

Comment: The sushi buffet is AWESOME! Its not a traditional buffet like you would see at something like an American restaurant. Its traditional sushi. You sit down, mark off what rolls or sashimi you want, the sushi chefs make it up for you and you eat it! Just keep ordering until you cant eat anymore! Best sushi place in St. Louis!
