But as a much as I love the food, what really makes this place special is the staff. They are so amazing and I feel more welcome than most restaurants. Comment: The $15 all you can eat sushi is the best deal around. I wont say the sushi is the best ever, but you cant beat the price. It includes many roll and nigiri types as well as soup, crab rangoon, and dumplings. The $25 dinner has an expanded menu but Im not sure it warrants the increase in price. All-in-all its one of my favorites places for lunch.

Comment: This is one of our classic go tos for years. The last time we came was two years ago and it is still as amazing as we remember. My husband and I came during dinner rush on Saturday night. My man alone ordered 8 rolls that were delicious and very thick pieces. Together we also had 3 appetizers. The crab ragoons are heavenly! The servers were very polite and gracious. The always asked if we wanted to order more and would clear plates immediately. In the end we spent less than 50 bucks plus tip. You can absolutely eat your moneys worth of High grade, restaurant quality sushi at buffet price. I even watched 5+ to go orders come and go from their door. Amazing staff!

It does get busy around dinner time, so expect a short wait. The Volcano roll is one of our favorites, not too spicy. When dining in, the display or presentation of sushi is very interesting, beautiful, well-thought out. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and speaks very good ESL.

I saved half of my meal for dinner that same night, and everything kept great and tasted just as good the second time around. I ordered through GrubHub - the restaurant provided chopsticks and good portions of sauces for all dishes. Will definitely be ordering from/visiting this restaurant again! 😁8/14: Updating my review and lowering to 4 stars, because I ordered a hand roll and received a regular sushi roll. It was 100°F out and many air conditioners in the midwest are having issues keeping up, but chances are this place ignores their a/c service until it breaks. Other than the elevated temperatures, my wife and I had a near perfect dinner! We each opted for the all you can eat sushi. I had a salad, some shumai, salmon nigiri and a bunch of rolls. Wife had a couple rolls and a couple nigiri. We shared the first salmon nigiri and an eel nigiri. All were fantastic! The rolls were a tiny bit light on the protein portions, but that really is to be expected when it is all you can eat. The wait staff was very attentive, removing dishes almost immediately and filling drinks as soon as they were less than half-full. We will certainly return! After tip, the total was $65.00 for 2 people.

I paid 50 dollars left 10 dollar tip. I wish I would have given a bigger tip. I ate all 4 rolls in 30 minutes and even though I’m stuffed I still want more. I lived in Japan for 8 years and always had friends who would pay 30,000-50,000 yen to take us out for sushi. This isn’t that quality but for the price I am very happy. Comment: This is the best casual asian cuisine restaurant Ive ever been to. You cant go wrong with anything you order. Everything is served quickly and fresh. However, the only downside is the service. Every single time I go here with my friends and family, the staff is less than polite and it ruins the experience every time and the only thing that makes up for it is the food. Theres maybe 1 or 2 staff members that are actually and consistently friendly, but thats it. Everyone else does the bare minimum and thats not considered good customer service in my book.

Comment: Good food and fast service.They dont take reservations, and that makes things tough on a weekend night. There isnt anywhere to sit and wait. So, when its cold, your stuck outside, or in your car. There isnt a bar or anything nearby where you can wait for your time to come, and they may give up your spot if you dont show up fast enough.

Comment: Always had great service and food here. You can get a lot of food for the reasonable price you pay. My SO and I paid around $24 for our full meal with sides, and enough for leftovers. Plenty of sushi options, I have tried out most of their menu and never been disappointed. Their restaurant also is practicing safe COVID procedures!

They also have an option to take home an all you can eat dinner meal and choose 1 app, 3 rolls and 1 sushi! The restaurant is very clean and has just been updated to a very modern, inviting atmosphere. If you have not been here, you are missing out!

Comment: Its a small, charming family restaurant. I had the steak rolls, volcano rolls, spicy tuna rolls, california rolls, and red snapper sushi. Along with sake to drink. My husband liked the volcano rolls. I personally loved the eel rolls and steak rolls the best. They have all you can eat for 20 bucks person, which we didnt get because we dont eat that much. The bathrooms where clean. The interior decor had umbrellas on the ceiling, big booth seating, & they have a fish tank with a cute flower horn fish swimming around. It was pretty decent price for our family, and was impressed with the sushi.

Comment: Always great, quality sushi. I have gone there half a dozen times now and will keep it as my go to sushi joint. If you go from 11-3 you get the all you can eat lunch for $13. The highest I have seen someone eat was 6. I would also highly recommend the sashimi.

Comment: Most of my family likes sushi and we are always looking for a new place to try. We decided to give Sushi Ai a try (sorry for the rhyme). We went on a Friday evening around 6:30 and there was a wait. We were told 20 minutes and that was pretty close. The place is rather small for an eat in restaurant. We looked over the menu and all-you-can-eat paper we were given and still had some questions. You can order ANYTHING from the all-you-can-eat menu, just make sure to eat what you order. What you dont eat you are charged extra for. We tried several rolls and worked hard to finish it all.SUMMARY: For a restaurant with multiple locations, it was pretty good.All-you-can-eat rolls are a standard size (unlike what other reviews say). They do have some unique rolls and they were very tasty.SERVICE was OK as stated in other reviews. The staff appeared to be busy and didnt spend a lot of time at the table. The food was quick to come out of the kitchen.For the price, I would much rather order the rolls I want and not feel pressured to finish them if I didnt want to.

Comment: All you can eat sushi was so delicious. Our family had 17 rolls all in all. You just cant beat the price for an all you can eat, you get a soup and/or salad, and an appetizer and as many rolls that you can eat for $20, you pay for any left overs...Staff was polite and courteous, also dealt with the babies and children very well. Great experience. We will be back!

Comment: To Zebrina Looney, Zhana Sharp and all non tippers, we remember everyone that doesnt tip and you have never tipped, not this time either, you picked up a napkin to make it look like you were taking your non existent tip back. So please learn to tip before going to ANY Restaurant ever again so that the staff there dont have to put up with you for nothing. Comment: I eat here like at least once a week. Food is always amazing, love the sushi here and the prices are wonderful, i mostly get the 3 for $10 rolls, also best spicy miso soup ever. Me and my friend though love getting the spicy lovers party tray, its perfect for sharing with one or two other people. Servers are always nice and service is quick and efficient. Theyre polite and pleasant and the place its always nice and clean. Also sometimes they make the plates all fancy with lights and decorations, its always so fun and cute. I highly recommend this place if you need yummy, wonderfully priced sushi and great service.

Comment: Im so glad that I ordered from sushi ai for my party.my food was carefully prepared . When I went there to pick up my order, I was worried a little bit cause that place full with people. When I walked in, they told me that my order was ready and brought out my order. 12 round trays!!!! I only ordered 10 trays, he told me that the owner gave me extra 2 for free!!! What a surprise! Comment: I love sushi but I wanted a dinner option for $10 so I chose the Hibachi chicken. It comes with a complimentary house salad with ginger dressing and miso soup. I think it was $10.94. The food came to the table quickly and the salad was very good and miso soup was hot and yummy. The Hibachi chicken was seasoned I think with teriyaki sauce and was very hot and a bit spicy which I loved. It came with about a cup of rice and mixed vegetables!!! It was such an excellent choice to pick Hibachi. This place is excellent!!!

Comment: Would have given 5 stars, but supposedly my online order didnt go through, even though I received the confirmation email. With that said - I was extremely impressed with the food quality, just as good as any high-end Japanese restaurant. The hibatchi steak and fried rice was really cheap, but was the best meal ive had in a while! The Miso soup smelled slightly off, but was delicious! The classic California Roll was on point. On top of that, the ticket time was under 10 minutes. You will be seeing me again Sushi AI !!

If you are very hungry it is worth it to go for the all-you-can-eat option.Very similar in quality to the high-end pricey sushi joints without all of the fanciness and high prices.Give it a try and you will be hooked like we are.Maybe I will see you there.

Comment: When I want sushi in St Louis I think Sushi Ai. You cant beat the price for all-you-can-eat sushi, and the quality is always good. I have come here many times for both lunch and dinner, and even my friends that dont like fish find things they like on the menu. Definitely recommend!
