Comment: Everyone here is always so kind and sweet, and the food is always wonderful! Great deals too, you get a lot for your money. Weve gotten takeout many times and eaten in once before, and every time had been a pleasure. Only downside is the parking situation; its very difficult to get in and out since the busy street is right there and theres a telephone pole in the way.

The atmosphere is nice and quiet (even with a fairly packed room), and has some cute traditional looking displays. The waiter was nice and obviously did their best to help us the entire time we were there. The facilities were clean and cared for.I would have given them 5 stars except for a few things. There was only one waiter; so even though he was very nice and helpful, he was a little overloaded by all the people eating there. The traditional look of the inside is cute, but the booths are fairly uncomfortable (next time well ask to sit at a center table instead). And parking is kinda scary pulling out into a busy street, maybe look around for other parking. I feel bad taking off a whole star for these kinda minor things, would rather give them 4.5 stars if I could :).

I love stopping by for lunch since they have great specials. Any roll (cost of the roll) + $6 will get you 4 pieces of nigiri, the roll, and a soup or salad. You cant really beat the quality for the price.

Incredible, affordable sushi and kind service.I had the volcano roll, a Philly roll, 4 pieces of salmon sashimi, and a miso soup. Everything was tasty and was packaged expertly. Their salmon is super-fresh and I appreciated that they included a container of soy sauce for me.They were very busy with takeout orders, more coming in by phone, and dine-in orders. They were very kind and patient with everyone. Remember restaurant employees are working so hard right now, many for tips, and take good care of them!

Im a nigiri guy & the fish is always fresh, the rice so good, special even. They almost always have toro (my fave) on hand & sometimes even uni (sea urchin. Not for everyone texture wise, but its like eating the ocean. In a good way. Lol.)I dont know what they do differently but the flavor is always bright & fresh. From our location I find several spots on the way back to the house. Out of 3 choices this is where he chose and were so happy he did.First the customer service was great. Immediately greeted and seated. Drink orders came out right away. Appetizers came right after that. We never had to ask for refill, plates, or anything the entire night and they were very nice.The kids loved EVERYTHING, we had no food to take home. The squid salad and seaweed salad were so good and fresh we had to get 2nd orders.The dumplings were also a big hit. The miso soup, was delicious and had a couple special touches I had not had before.Every sushi roll was perfectly portioned with rice, filling and sauce. The spicy tuna was a big favorite. A very simple dish that had excellent execution.I have to say my children and my extra children have amazing manners and I think the server and the owner appreciated that because once I let them get ice cream and told them it was for his birthday, they all came over and offered him ice cream too and gave a spoon to each of us.And we all discovered that the fried bananas and red bean ice cream were both delicious and really good together.And yes it was a small gesture but I appreciated it very much.By the outside you would drive by, by the parking you would rethink your choice but Im driveline glad I decided to go inside! I cant wait to go back.

Only once in my 10-12 visits did I find the sushi to maybe be a little fishy (ie: maybe left out a little long). This is my go to spot for carryout sushi, but if Im looking for a dine-in experience I would head somewhere else. The interior is a little plain and boring and for just a little more money you could enjoy some of the more beautiful sushi restaurants in Clayton.

We might never go back to the old place - Sushi Hana is our new STL south city sushi home!Typically I would have seen “Affton” and ignored this as a possible sushi place when looking for alternatives to places like Cafe Mochi on South Grand, but second glance it shows only 12 minutes away - probably an hour less waiting than the other place!It was worth the short drive. The rolls and nigiri were immaculate, with quality and freshness rivaling coastal favorites of mine, even the rice was perfect. And there were only 2 other parties in the quaint dining room. And the prices were beyond reasonable, especially for the amazing quality.This is a family run business, so no issues with struggling to find waitstaff and help - it’s all in the family. So support them and get a boat!Enjoyed it so much I forgot to be basic and take pictures.

Comment: Excellent food if u want transitional Japanese sushi and sashimi. Parking tight but the best Japanese food I have had in 6 years. Had uni... sea urchin....fresh. Miso soup was the best Ive had in a long time. Rice...right on...my Okinawan wife had total praise. Shaz on the post is our daughter...not sure why her name showed up on my post.

Comment: Awesome! The only other sushi place we love is at 270 and Olive but this is just as good! Super fresh, great rice, nice presentation and very good service. Highly recommended!

Comment: Sushi so fresh it’ll take you seaside! Sushi Hana has answered all my prayers and changed my mindset about mid-west sushi. Everything was the right temperature, incredible fresh and delicious. I could not have been more happy with the customer service, food, quality and price. They got have it right! If you are looking for quality sushi- look no further, it’s right here in Affton!

Comment: If you are looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience, look no further. This place has a great selection of lunch and dinner as well as sushi. The presentation, service, and food quality are all top notch. Also, you get a whole lot of food for the price you pay, especially during lunch time. I ordered the Fish Katsu last time I went in and it was every bit as good as the Fish Katsu I had in Tokyo.

Comment: We were able to get seating for our group of 10, and everything was wonderful! Staff was very friendly, decor in restaurant was very nice, and our food was delicious! I highly recommend Sushi Haha, and I will be visiting again.

Comment: I got udon noodles and they were tasty, but my girlfriend got sushi and it was really good. We have gone to most of the sushi restaurants in Saint Louis and this one is up there with some of the best. I highly recommend it!

Comment: Great sushi. Just opened and it’s fantastic. We ordered sake, salad, appetizers, 3 special rolls, and 2 nigiri, all were great. Prompt and extremely polite customer service. Now we won’t have to drive far for top notch sushi.

Comment: My wife and I went for dinner and it was very good. We ordered California roll, spider roll, yummy roll and lobster roll, along with beef chapchae. The beef chapchae was ok, we didnt care for the noodles as they are slimy in consistency but the beef and vegetables in it are really great. All of the rolls were great! I didnt have the lobster roll as I dont eat lobster, but my wife loved it. Overall everything was nice and we had a great meal. Good luck to them going forward!
