Comment: We used to love coming to Wasabi before COVID. During and after COVID, many things changed. Service was lacking, and the server we would get would always have an attitude. She seemed very busy and extremely rude. We came last time a couple of months ago, and we had a horrible experience with the same server. We said we would not be coming ever again. Today was my daughters birthday, and she requested we go to Wasabi. We arrived, and you could see that something was completely different as soon as we walked in. We were greeted with a smile, and we got a table right away. A lady came to take our order, and she was so professional. She had a warm approach and such attention to detail. Her name was Lauren. Not just her, but everything is entirely different. The other servers kept asking us if we needed water, forks, and refills. They even surprised my daughter with a dessert for her birthday—such a positive change. We would love to come back again with this team.

There is something here for anyone who likes Asian food, not just sushi, the only disappointment for me was the thai iced tea, it was kinda warm and lacked a real flavor. However i got 3 rolls, a lunch special and a bonus roll, and every single bite was amazing. I also had the miso with my lunch and it was one of the best i have had. I will be back. Also side note, my server was great, she was ffiendly, knowledgeable, and walked that line of always there when i needed her but not hovering, a rare quality.

The crispy spring rolls are some of the best I’ve ever had. I also find their sushi to be fresh and it tastes delicious. One thing I miss is that they used to have every sushi roll pictured on the menu. I find sushi to be a visual experience as well so I miss being able to see what I’m going to eat before it comes out. Also, one thing that is a little strange to me, is that, as you can see in the picture, all sushi for the table is served together on one plate. So, if you’re going with friends, you have to remember which roll is yours and you’re all eating from the same board. Not the end of the world, but…

I had salmon the others had chicken and all the meats were overcooked and dry and the sauces, while tasty, werent much help. The other parts of the dishes were good, especially the fried rice. I got the bento box and enjoyed the California roll and egg roll and veggies. The food came out quickly and was hot. We opted for the salad as a starter and there was an interesting orange zest dressing Ive never had before. When the salads appeared I realized that the only utensils on the table were chop sticks. I wish our server had asked if anyone needed a fork since I am unable to operate the sticks. I had to wait several minutes to find someone to ask to bring a fork. I saw a lot of pretty rolls being delivered to other tables. I also liked the pay on your phone option for settling up.

From ordering out food to receiving it was a good long One Hour. Nothing is that good, for me—if I were sitting at the bar swilling beer & tequila shots, it would be fine: wait, no problem!But no matter the beloved company of friends & family, sitting at a table drinking ice water for an hour gets boring pretty quickly, that’s just me.The food’s great as I said; if you get them to delivery a salad with ginger dressing & a cup of miso soup, that will use up 15 minutes of the hour. I do think the lettuce in the bottoms of the cardboard packages could be omitted, as it wilts from the heat and I always throw it away.I ordered the Washington and Philadelphia rolls, as well as crab Rangoon and the stuffed jalapenos. Tuna and jalapeno is such an unusual combination, but Im here to tell you it WORKS. And their honey wasabi mayo is unbeatable.In person, I tend to visit the CWE location, but the Kirkwood location has always made delicious takeout in my experience.

Comment: Ive been here many times, and they almost always do an amazing job. Very infrequently my order gets jumbled, but they always fix it. Serving staff and hosts are very friendly. The prices are also very reasonable! BOGO on Monday is my favorite time to go. I would recommend Wasabi for sushi lovers throughout the area.

The menu has changed a bit over the years and now it has your traditional Bento boxes and Sushi as well as Fusion related items such as Sushi burritos. Although this place is related to the Wasabi sushi downtown, I must say I Iiked the food dowtown better. The rice was overpressed and not as fresh as I have had elsewhere. Comment: Came for lunch. We opted to get rolls instead of the lunch menu, and we were not disappoint. I got the Spicy Omega and found it is be very pleasant and spicy. Normally my idea of spicy does not match with the Midwest idea of spicy. This was spicy and delicious. The meso soup does have mushrooms but they are cut large enough to be taken out. I highly recommend.

Comment: This location is my favorite restaurant. The sushi is amazing though expensive, you can avoid the high prices by taking advantage of their lunch deal and get two rolls for cheap. They also have shrimp shuami that is a delectable small appetizer. The washington and kamikaze rolls are two of my favorite.

The service was kind of lacking though. Im sure it was just an off night, and it was pretty busy, but the people I was with got their food and had time to eat almost all of it before my sushi came out. I would give it another shot though.
